BRAG WALL for a class of SHEER GENIUSES!

If I haven't said it to you recently, please let me do so now: you are such amazing individuals and I am privileged to work with you.

I am so enjoying reading your yearbooks and your witty, ironic, and down-right HYSTERICAL applications. Mc-Demeter's? Kevin: one of my favorites!!!!!

Please earn some additional credit by sharing your favorite contribution to your yearbook...a quote, a celebrity-god match, a superlative, anything.

Thank you for putting so much time and effort into these projects. I am enjoying them so much...and, from the bottom of my heart, I consider myself the luckiest teacher in the world to have you all as students.

I really enjoyed doing the yearbook. It also helped me out ALOT with knowing the different gods and goddesses! One of my favorite parts of Molly and I's yearbook is the sponsorship ad for Aphrotie. We made her the owner of a hair salon and called it Afro-dite's salon! haha that was one of my favorites!

i also really enjoyed the yearbook. i got to know the gods/goddesses better and had fun with all of the pictures. the only part that really annoyed me was that corinna thought that most of the gods should have blond hair. i guess i could picture them with blond hair... but finding their pictures took FOREVER. also with all of the information on the laptop, it broke down with a virus and i can't use it at the moment. but i thnk it is a price to pay to know the gods better.

The best part of the project, in my opinion was decorating it. Even though it took longer than we expected, Nicole and I loved it. One funny sponsership ad that we had was Pimp My Chariot!

I really liked working with a partner on this project. I hope we get to work in groups in the future!

i also liked decorating the yearbook with corinna. we had so much fun with the stickers and kind of went overboard... but we don't think it came out so bad. we worked really hard it... hehehehe

i really liked this project too. it helped me better understand the gods and goddesses in a different way, not just as a made up character from a book. i especially liked coming up with a title for the school even though it took FOREVER!!!

I'm glad you seemed to enjoy this project...as tedious as it was at times....
Please share one (or more) of the contributions to your book...a quote (one of my favorites is from Eros: "Love me or love a hecatoncheries"), a school name, a club, a superlative...anything!

Maria: btw, did you do your project with Kathleen C?

I had so much fun doing the yearbook. The creative projects are my favorites and I love doing them with partners. One of my favorite parts of the yearbook was me and melissa's quote for Apollo. It was hand me a lyre and i'll make beautiful music, hand me a woman and i'll turn her into a tree. I also liked some of the people that we picked for the project like Dionysus and Aphrodite.

On my yearbook (I'm not sure if it was noticable though), it said, 'PROPERTY OF HADES', but the 'HADES' was crossed out and it said 'HERMES' in red marker because he stole it from Hades. I enjoyed writing the autographs the most because it was interesting to see what I made each character say to Hades (before it was stolen by Hermes, obviously).

It is pretty sick but we used Michael Jackson as Eros, the god of love, and he has a tutoring job teaching little kids after school.

Yea I did my project with Kathleen. One of my favorite parts of our yearbook was what Kathleen came up with: "Gold's Fool/Fool's Gold" was Midas.

Michael Jackson was our Hepheastus.
I really enjoyed doing this project as well because, projects where creativity anc craftiness come in, those are my favorites. I love the quote Katie and I used for Apollo as well. Haha

Quote of Icarus: "Cannonball"....heeheehheeeeeeee...I'm still giggling about it.

Amelia: I didn't see that! I have to look again!

Yeah I should have made it more noticable. All of these comments are making me want to read everyone's yearbook haha.

Me too Amelia!!! I want to see all of them now.
My favorite part of the yearbook Katherine and I made was the "Pimp my Chariot" add. My favorite page was probably the superlative page because it allowed us to see where the gods/goddesses would fit in schools today and what "cliques" they would be in.
I really liked being able to work in groups. I also liked that the project helped us learn while allowing us to be creative and crafty.

I also thought the name of our school was funny... Olympigreek High.

Molly and I had a funny quote for Aphrodite, it was" Dont hate me because im beautiful..hate me because i stole your boyfriend" I like the Pimp My Chariot thing haa. We also had the name of our high school be Horizon High, and the principals are Gaia and Uranus if anyone gets that...

Nicole Fornabaio said...

ha ha I do! and I like your aphrodite quote.

Oh I get it! Kathleen and I were proud of our title because it took forever to come up with. It's D.O.O.M. and it stands for Divine Olypians, Others, and Mortals.

Haha yeah Miss Arney, the "love me or love a hecatoncheries" was another favorite quote of our project! In addition, another one of my favorite quotes was Icarus' qoute..."cannonball!"

i also liked how one of Zeus's quotes were, "I am better than the Jonas Brothers." i think that was funny. Zeus wouldn't seem like someone who would be affected by anyone. hehehe

Most Likely to Be Sacrificed By Their Parents: (Iphigenia and Pelops) Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas. haha. From Perri and I's yearbook, that was my favorite superlative. I thought this project was really fun. It allowed for us to be really creative.

Even though the yearbook took hours and hours and some more hours, it was still very fun. It also helped you understand the gods better because you have to think like them if you are doing something like there quote. My favorite quote was for Cronus as said by The Brain. - “The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world.”

I enjoyed this yearbook project and it also helped with remembering all the gods through things like superlatives and advertisments. My favorite advertisement was: Pyramus and Thisbe's love counseling: "Would you die for your loved one?"
